One non runner and one winning bet today left me down on the day 4.3pts.
The only winning bet was the each way money for LUDUAMF who was backed at 22-1.
Here are Monday’s, with write ups
3-45 DUNCAN OF SCOTLAND
This course and distance winner has not got his head in front since winning at Dundalk in May. Fair form in two of his last three runs, finishing second here and at Fairyhouse. His last run was probably on the short side, and with Paul Mulrennan back on this Irish raider, he can win this. 11-2 BV
Poor run last time but caught my eye two back at Musselburgh finishing in a close up third. Nathan Evans rose him that day and he’s in the plate again. The race is not the greatest, with few having solid chances and worth an each way at this price. 25-1 BV
4-45 CORTON LAD
Two wins from six runs this season. He has lost his last four however, so does need to improve on those efforts. The last two were in a higher class however and with his mark dropping and visor fitted for the first time I’ll risk an each way. 33-1 BV
3-00 STORMIN TOM
Not won since 2016 and poor run last time, but two seconds off this mark prior to that were decent and this course winner could go close. Chance a win. 9-1 BV
6-50 PLAGE DEPAMPELONNE
She’s lightly raced and ran a decent race when second off this mark at Nottingham on handicap debut . Could still be more improvement to come and I’ll put up to win. 15-2 Ladbrokes
7-20 GABRIAL’S KAKA
Both the Suroor trained Big Tour and the Stoute charge Commodity will be popular, and may prove difficult to beat. However, I’ll take a chance on this one form the Richard Fahey stable. He won on his only other all weather start in April 2016, at Chelmsford, but more interesting is that he has only run in this class twice before, winning one of them. Been out of form this year, but they fitted blinkers on him for the first time on his last run and he ran a cracking race at Chester to finish third. Win. 9-1 BV
